"Members of Anwar's group tried to contact me many times through my mobile, but I refused to answer their calls," he said yesterday. Masing, who is also the state land development minister, said he had received information that Anwar's aides were trying to contact him for a meeting.
"I refused to entertain any call from either Anwar or his aides because I still believe in Barisan Nasional," he said.
Masing said the six MPs would not join the opposition.
He said he considered it unethical and undemocratic for Anwar to entice MPs from the BN to join PR so he could form the federal government.
"If he wants to form the Federal Government and become the prime minister, he can wait until the next general election.
"If the PKR gets more seats in the elections, then he can talk about forming the Federal Government," he said.
